And Some Of The Words Are Theirs – Release July 4th, 2025
Inspired by the book and movie “A River Runs Through It” by Norman Maclean, the song “And Some Of The Words Are Theirs” is a piano and cello duet which captures the echoes of the words of those familiar souls who have passed away but that we can still hear in those peaceful moments.
The piano part, a simple progression using a flowing sequence of 8th notes represents the river, and the cello part represents the words.
“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”
